Pier Carlo, after his economic studies at the University of Turin, has gained a long and rich experience in the management of industrial relations and human resources, working for some of the most important national and international players. In particular, we recall the following assignments:

2015 – 2019: HR COMMUNITY ACADEMY, V.P HR & Business Development Director.

HRC is the most important Italian network of Human Resources Directors and the companies in which they serve. Pier Carlo’s assignment was the management of human resources and the implementation of the new organizational structure. He also dealt with the business development, with the direct management of institutional relationships and the Top companies of the Network.

2011 – 2014: GRUPPO DIMENSIONE S.p.A, Human Resources Director

His task was, as part of the development of the multinational company in the infrastructure sector, to establish and operate the human resources department. He then followed the international development with management activities (recruiting, performance/competence evaluation). At national level, he has dealt with industrial relations (social partners and institutions).

2009 – 2011: ENTE FIERA DI MESSINA, Consultant of the Regional Commissioner & General Manager

The task was entrusted to him directly by the Presidency of the region, as part of the initiatives for the relaunch and reorganization of the fair. Acting as General Manager, the activities implemented in 2009, related to the relaunch of initiatives and the reorganization of the work, generated a significant growth in volumes and operating margins.

2006 – 2009: SKY ITALIA, Personnel Director

Within Sky Italia’s human resources department, Pier Carlo was responsible for all functions – comp&ben – union – organization – management. He was one of the architects of the restart with the new labor contract of SKYSPORT24. He prepared the budget for the HR function for 2 years.

2002 – 2005: EUROFLY S.P.A, Personnel Director

Pier Carlo took care of the management and coordination of the assigned services, ensuring the control of the activities, the respect of the priorities within the delegations issued by the Board of Directors and the Managing Director, guaranteeing the correct management of the Human Resources of the company, the supervision of the organizational structure and the support to the C.C.O. and C.O.O., for the achievement of the objectives. In this context, he achieved the result of completing the closure of collective agreements for all categories present, Pilots – Ground – AAVV, without a single episode of conflict. In the organizational field, it contributed to the transfer of the company’s structure from Alitalia, equipping it with all the levers previously only present in Alitalia. He also contributed to building/increasing the company’s sense of belonging with motivational and internal marketing activities.

2000 – 2002: BMC SOFTWARE, Human Resources Manager, Southern Europe

Leading provider of enterprise management solutions. As HR Manager Southern Europe (Italy, Portugal, Spain, Austria & East Europe, Switzerland), Pier Carlo reported directly to the HR Director, with personal responsibility for the following activities: Recruiting, Staff evaluation, Compensation & Benefits, Development & Organization and Internal corporate communication development.

1999 – 2000: UNISOURCE ITALIA S.p.A., Human Resources Director

Unisource Italia was a multinational company offering telecommunications services (voice-data-internet) to companies. After the sale of Unisource Italia to Morgan Stanley Capital Partners, Pier Carlo was called in to reorganize the corporate structure. As Human Resources Director, he reported directly to the CEO with the following responsibilities

Recruiting (hired around 80 permanent employees and 20 contractors).
Staff evaluation and compensation.
Retention plan & staff fidelization.
Re-organization of the different Business Units (procedures were improved to optimize work flows, speed up processes and improve productivity);
Internal corporate communication development (the launch of the Intranet project, the definition and sharing of the company core values with the entire staff and the involvement of new staff in new company objectives).

1997 – 1999: SHERATON-CIGA HOTELS ITALY, Human Resources Manager

As Human Resources Manager, he was in charge of the Milan and Costa Smeralda areas with about 1,000 employees, and was responsible for the following activities: Industrial Relationship, Benefits & compensations, Training and Competencies evaluations and career path development.

1995 – 1997: FIAT AUTO SpA, Industrial Relations Manager for the Termini Imerese plant (Palermo).

As Head of Industrial Relations in Sicily for Fiat Auto, he was responsible for managing industrial relations at territorial level.

1990 – 1994: FIAT AUTO SpA, Operating Unit Personnel Manager, Pomigliano D’Arco Plant (Naples), Rivalta Torinese Plant (Turin)

As Business Unit Manager, Pier Carlo was responsible for managing local industrial relations and supporting the line in increasing productivity.
