Prof. Andrea Manto

Ethics Committee

Graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the “Sacro Cuore” Catholic University, he specializes in Geriatrics and Gerontology. He obtains a License in Moral Theology at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome.
From January 2007 to September 2012 he was Director of the National Office for Pastoral Health Care of the CEI (Italian Episcopal Conference).
Since 2005 he has been Professor of Moral Theology at the Faculty of Jurisprudence and Canon Law of the Pontifical Lateran University of Rome.
From 2017 he is a lecturer at the “Camillianum” International Pastoral Theology Institute of Rome.
He participated in national and international conferences as a speaker and was a lecturer in 1° and 2° level masters on issues related to health, theology and bioethics and is the author of numerous publications in the same subjects.
He is currently Director of the Centre for the Pastoral Care of the Family of the Vicariate of Rome and member of the Committee of Bioethics Lazio 2, of the Bioethics Committee of the University of Rome – Tor Vergata and of the Bioethics Committee of the Istituto Superiore di Sanità.
