Prof. Vito Toso

Scientific Committee

After graduating in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Padua, he obtained his specialization in neurology at the same University first and later in child neuropsychiatry at the University of Pisa.

He is professor of neurology at the University of Padua from 1990 to 1995 and at the University of Verona from 2004 to 2006.

He is Chief of Neurology at the hospitals of Castelfranco Veneto, Venice and Vicenza from 1974 to 2006.

He is a consultant for the organization of diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of stroke in the Abano Terme Polyclinic.

He is National President of the Society of Hospital Neuroscience (SNO) from 1989 to 1991, National Vice President of the Italian Society of Neurology (SIN) in the two years 1995-1996 and 2001-2003 and National Secretary of the Study Group of Cerebrovascular Diseases adhering to the SIN in the biennium

He is National President of Italian Stroke Forum from 2005 to 2007, Past President of Italian Stroke Forum from 2008 to 2010 and National President of Italian Stroke Organization since 2008

He is a member of the Regional Commission for dementia (Veneto) and of the Regional Commission for Cardiocirculatory Diseases (Veneto).

Included in the advisory board of three trade magazines, he is the author of over 160 scientific publications in national and international journals, as well as three volumes dealing with relevant topics of neurological science.
